Item Description
2.5X3" half leatherette case with oval opening 1.5X2". Case features loop for hanging at top and is imprinted "Holmes 299 Broadway". Photograph is from an engraving and is the most widely used image of Fremont during both his 1856 and 1864 campaigns. Two thin vertical areas with scattered minor emulsion loss seen in reflected light and not affecting display. VF. Rare. Ex-Harris Collection.
