Item Description
Lot of 2 boxed sets measuring 1” X 8” X 11.25” each, both copyrighted in 1937 and manufactured by Robuck. First set is “Our Gang Paint Set” and includes a color book, paints and pallet. Missing from the set is brush and instructions. Color book features colored examples of pictures in black & white to be later filled in with paints. Book has 3 pages colored as well as title on front of book. Pallet has four paints, of which brown is missing. Paints have been used and pallet has moderate paint marks on it. Pallet features images of Our Gang characters. Pallet is FN. Paint book has some wear but is still FN. Box has some color rubs and moisture staining in upper right hand corner but is still structurally sound with tight corners period. 1” tear to side panel of box lid. FN+. Second items is “Our Gang Crayon Set.” Boxed set features two coloring books of which a total of five pages have been colored, this is including front cover images. Several images from coloring books are repeated from the paint set. Set also comes with “Our Gang Movie Fan” which has images of the Our Gang character and hold original crayons, which have melted somewhat. Items have tanned with age but are still FN/VF. Box has some moderate wear with four 1” tears on side panels of lid and one corner split. Tray has three corner splits. Lid has some surface paper lift and moderate dust soiling and is FN.
