14” X 18.75” poster for the foreign release of the 1953 film starring Abbott & Costello and Boris Karloff. Beautifully designed poster features typical caricature body with large headed Abbott & Costello running away from Karloff as Dr. Jekyll and stuntman Eddie Parker as Mr. Hyde and a skull. Frightened women recoils in the background. Poster had blank marquee area at top trimmed with remnant of tax stamp remaining and two other tax stamps as well as a tax ink stamp appearing bottom right hand corner near Costello’s head. Poster has been folded three times horizontally and once vertically, but this does not affect image. Some light surface paper lift in remnants of marquee area due to posting and a ¼” chip from this area as well. Poster has some minor handling wear and small tears at fold creases at margins but would look Exc. framed and matted.
