Over the years it gained a reputation as one of the best anthologies on the market. This early it it’s run it was basically a fun book. The superheroes were waiting in the wings. This issue features art by Flessel, Siegel and Shuster. One of the stories is a four-page adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Tale of Two Cities. It is speculated that Major Nicholson-Wheeler, the founder of DC, wrote one of the stories. The pages are cream to off-white.
