Item Description
After the end of the War, Westerns began to emerge as one of the most popular genres in film and radio. Comic publishers looking to survive in the changing economy of the post-war era were coming to grips with the decline of superheroes. Many quickly put together a western anthology. DC’s Western Comics is among the best of the titles that emerged. It had a strong run that lasted until 1961. This issue features the last appearance of The Vigilante. It also has interior art by Meskin and Post. The pages are off-white to white. According to the CGC Census, this copy is the highest graded copy they have seen. This copy comes from the Mile High Collection.
