Comic publishers looking to survive in the changing economy of the post-war era were coming to grips with the decline of superheroes. Many quickly put together a western anthology. DC’s Western Comics is among the best of the titles that emerged. It had a strong run that lasted until 1961. This issue features the last appearance of The Vigilante.
