Exceptionally nice English card game consists 44 of the 45 cards with instruction folder and comes in 2.50” X 3.50” X ¾” deep box. Circa 1939. Deck consists of cards for 11 different films, each with full color film scene illustration on front and same design on reverse and blue & white with small MGM lion head logo. There are 4 cards for each film plus 1 additional joker card, which is missing. Tarzan card are for “Tarzan in Exile,” 3 picture Tarzan and 2 picture Maureen O’Sullivan. Some of the film titles include “Goodbye Mr. Chips, The Hardys Ride High, Calling Dr. Kildare, It’s a Wonderful World,” and others. Pictured stars include Robert Taylor, Clark Gable, Jeanette McDonald, Mickey Rooney, Claudette Cobert, Joan Crawford, James Stewart, and others. Box has example of card attached to back of box which is for “Tarzan in Exile.” Box is worn but has complete box flaps. Box has soiling and a 2” crack to bottom panel. VG.
