Auction #182 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1499 in auction 182
Item Description
2.75" oval with text on curl of maker J. B. Carroll and "Duplicate Mirrors, 5¢ postage Coca-Cola Company Atlanta, Ga." The top two-thirds of the celluloid surface is just very slightly concave rather than convex but this is only a little noticeable to the touch or in reflected light and does not detract at all from the great color and glossy appearance. The silvering on the reverse mirror has 5 lines .5" or less with silvering loss but overall silvering remains in excess of 97% completeness. On the woman's chest there are 5 very tiny areas where her fleshtone skin is just a little darker shade than the surrounding areas but this is a small and very subtle defect on a beautiful and scarce mirror. See following 1916 mirror.
