Auction #187 - Part II
Item numbers 927 through 2489 in auction 187
Item Description
From a series of four military rings used as 1942 Kix Cereal premiums. Ring is brass and has slide-off top with embossed Marine Corps symbol. Underside of top serves as secret compartment and interior of ring once held small bw photos of Silver and the Lone Ranger. The Silver photo is a photocopy replacement that goes on the underside of the ring top but the Lone Ranger photo set within the top of the ring itself is original and Mint. Brass luster on the ring is about 98% complete. Some bright luster is off the slide-off top but plenty of luster remains. Seems to be scarcest of the four designs. Rarely found with ring base luster this nice.
