Item Description
First photo shows 22 badges each with enamel on brass "Official" bar across the top except the bar is missing from 1967. Most of these have text "Golden Glove Finals" along with a year beginning in 1949. There is a duplicate of 1955 but the date run goes through 1957 and then resumes 1961, 62, 65, 66, 67 and 68. In bottom row is undated badge with color fade on the ribbon. Next to this is "Golden Anniversary" badge along with a ribbon. Final dated items are for 1977, 80, 81 and 82. Most of these pieces are in Exc. to Mint condition. This group is followed by eight different ribbons, each 8", for "1996 National Golden Gloves Tournament Of Champions Cleveland, Ohio." Each has a particular designation such as official, boxer, hall of fame member, and others. Group ends with three pin-back buttons with one dated for 1981. Final three items are small metal pieces with one being a 1939 "Detroit Free Press Golden Gloves" lapel piece with threaded post back. Next is brass luster metal showing boxers with engraving on back "1940-L.B.C./The/M.M.A." Last in silvered brass showing boxing gloves includes enamel with initials of Catholic Youth Organization. Threaded post reverse. A gigantic group that took years to assemble. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
