Item Description
All are 1.25". The first two buttons are earlier than the others with the first having 1898 back paper from Cameo Pepsin Gum. The second is from the same series but has W&H back paper which does not name Cameo. These are designed as marble busts of women with subtle color shading. Buttons 3-5 have back paper from Pick Plug Cut Tobacco. All the buttons in row two have back paper from Chesterfield. Buttons 11-18 have back paper from Napoleon All Tobacco. In this group row 4 #3 has small age mark on bottom edge. The last two in row four and all in row 5 do not have any back papers and the last three buttons in the bottom row have either some heavy oxidation on the reverse plus 24th button has small cello chip off edge as well as some surface bumps with bumps also over the next to last button. Vast majority display clean and glossy and are Exc. to NM. A number of the buttons carry a W&H 1909 or 1910 copyright on the curl. See following related lot.
