Item Description
12-7/8x19.75" first printing poster for Jan. 29, 1967 concert that took place at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA and was organized as a benefit for the San Francisco Krishna Consciousness (Hare Krishna) temple. Concert featured The Grateful Dead, Moby Grape, Big Brother & The Holding Company as well as Swami Bhakivedanta and Allen Ginsberg. Poster artist is unknown, but design features stylized photo image of seated Swami Bhakivedanta w/spiral design overlapping for psychedelic effect. Margins are lighter as printed and are not faded. Left/right and top margins each have pair of staple holes w/two areas of tape staining along left and three along right. Left margin also has 1/16" hole to left of Bhakivedant's knee. Lower right has faint .5" area of staining. VG.
