Item Description
First is a die cut 13/16" celluloid on 7/8" moveable stickpin. Reverse names the maker "Meek" along with 1906 patent date. Front has gorgeous scene with design representing a wave of water displaying along its crest the "White Rolls" cigarette against the background of a scallop shell and sunburst. Mint and we've seen only about three in 49 years. Next is 1.5" tall brass stickpin holding a die cut cello American flag with the reverse showing the dentist flanked by text "Take Care Of Your Teeth/Dr. Hyman/America's Greatest Painless Dentist Nine & Market Sts. And Branches." Made by American Artworks. Slight tanning on the text side with tiny 1/8" white hairline on the Dr.'s cheek. The only example we've seen. A rare pair.
