Item Description
2-1/8" with W&H back paper. Front carries date "Oct. 8, 9, 10, 11, 1901." Wonderful color scenes with the one at top showing farmer in field riding in his harvesting machine drawn by two white horses. In the distance is his farmhouse, windmill and barn. Lower scene shows railroad tracks leading to a group of buildings used for produce storage. Lower rim is beautifully accented with fruits and vegetables including pumpkin, ears of corn and grain stalks. Some extremely tiny near pinpoint grey marks scattered on the extreme bottom edge but barely showing. An exceptional design and the only example of this button we have seen in 49 years. We offered this example in Auction #208 and it exceeded $300. Rare.
