Item Description
14.25x19.5" thin artboard has pen and ink original art for first page of 1970s "Superfan" #15 story, featuring five panels of art (first panel remains blank for placement of title paste-over) featuring Superfan having left commune for life in Hollywood. First panel he wears Easy Rider-inspired outfit as director explains that "You And Peter Honda Ride Off To Canada Because Of The Draft" which Superfan confuses w/NFL draft. Metropolis Smoggers football coach arrives and disrupts set, taking Superfan w/him. Last panel shows stadium. Top margin has strips of aged masking tape (not affecting art) and inked title/issue/page number. Margins feature editorial notation for later paperback collection. Left/right/bottom center margins have 1.5" strips of tape staining, but art remains clean and Exc. Would look great framed.
