Item Description
7-5/8x12-5/8" tin litho advertising sign w/beveled edges depicts scene of doctor carrying "M.D." bag towards house, his shadow before him, but in the shape of a stork, indicating he's on his way to deliver a baby. Tiny "©1915 Anheuser-Busch St. Louis" notation at bottom left. Back has original cardboard backing (w/modified hanger cord) w/detailed text explaining that this sign is part of a series being sent to medical professionals and mentions was as yet untitled. Text also mentions naming contest w/prize of $250 in gold w/"Dr. Stork - Malt Nutrine Department - Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, MO." name/info at bottom. Sign shows scattered wear w/.5" indent at bottom left and some scattered surface wear. Fine overall.
