Item Description
7" tall celluloid toy w/built-in key and long wire metal tail. Made in Japan, 1930s. Mickey Mouse is designed w/pair of separate, movable arms attached to his body via elastic string. Toy works and his legs move back and forth rapidly as his body rambles about. When stationary, his tail serves as a prop to keep him upright for display. Pants and shoes have been repainted, closely matching the original. A repair/reinforcement was done where tops of legs meet metal plates of mechanism, not readily evident as displayed. Scattered trace of paint wear on the tail but about 70% black paint remains. Face and hands have even aging. Working and Fine/VF.
