Item Description
Button is 1.25" c. 1912 and with back paper by American Artworks. Superb multi color of young girl holding product bottle riding a large St. Bernard dog past a tree with posted sign "Notice/Try 'Limetta' High Ball/Take No Substitutes." Superb color and this example has perfect color registration which a large percentage of the few we've seen do not have. One of the finest advertising buttons ever produced and we've seen about a total of a half dozen in our 49 years. NM displaying Mint. Next is 1.5" silvered brass watch fob. Front shows company logo of slender black man in top hat holding the reins of a skinny horse who has an umbrella and jug of "Green River" whiskey slung across its back. Scene is encompassed by top and bottom text "She Was Bred In Old Kentucky." On the reverse are a list of the Worlds Fair awards given the product with the last date being Jamestown, 1907 and with rim text "The Official Whiskey Of The U.S. Marine Hospital Service." Bottom edge has tiny text of Chicago maker Noble & Co. Slight silvering loss. VF.
