Item Description
15.5x22-3/8" framed w/13.5x21.25" opening. Rare thin cardboard poster featuring national candidates at center and 12 Northwest Iowa candidates including John Hammil for Governor and William D. Boyde for Congress 11th District. Outstanding graphics w/large eagle and draped American flags in background and four elephants intermingled between photos. Text between Coolidge and Dawes reads "Constructive Not Destructive." Large headline at center "Vote The Republican Ticket For Sound Government." Top and bottom corners on right side have small creases and a 1" tear at center right. Otherwise only a pair of faint damp stains and light edge toning. Fine. A truly rare 1924 campaign poster that is the first we have encountered in our 49 years.
