5.5x8.5" hand written note reading "Yours Sincerely Adlai E. Stevenson Feb 22nd 'One Of The Sacred Days Of The Calendar!" The Vice Presidential candidate in 1892 and 1900 is referring to the birthday of George Washington. Next is 7.25x7" typed letter dated Dec. 21, 1955 and reading "Dear Mr. Wright: Many Thanks For Your Good Letter And For That Very Tangible And Generous Encouragement! My Very Best Wishes For A Happy Holiday Season. Cordially," and signed boldly "Adlai E. Stevenson." Both have only minor handling wear and remain Exc. Comes w/JSA COA.
