Item Description
Hake #211. 7/8" litho with pair of union bugs on the curl, one of which names Chicago. Only a few of these buttons have ever been auctioned and they are considered samples that never went into production. There is a different version known with bluetone photos. This is an outstanding example that has only the barest touches of wear. The button has six very faint and tiny scratches each no more than 1/16". Three are essentially microscopic and the other three are seen only with the closest study. Five of these six are on either the red or blue panels and one is to the far upper right of Nixon on the white background. There are no paint imperfections on the images. Overall condition is glossy and NM.
