Item Description
Both pieces marked on reverse by maker Dieges & Clust. First is 2-1/8" tall in bronze with eagle hanger and suspension that has the text "Women's Police Reserve New York City". Reverse text "For/Loyalty And Fidelity/To Duty/In War And In Peace/1917-1922/Manhattan And Bronx". A rare award given very small number of women who were added to the NYC police force during years specified. NM. Next is 2-5/8" tall in bronze. Eagle bar reads "Marksman", next bar reads "1 Year" and below is maltese cross suspension. This has crossed rifles and wreath with text  "Presented By The Brooklyn Daily Eagle". The letters "PSL" are around and center has headless winged figure flanked by same initials. Lightly, but readable viewed closely, scratched on reverse is "Won By/Cochrane/Jan. 16, 1908/Shot 49". NM except for personalization.
