Item Description
Each is 1.5" without back papers or maker name. Catcher's mitt with serial #2886 is 1930s era. Surface is slightly pushed in and concave. Fairly heavy oxidation on tin back but cello remains clean and displays Mint. Second is c. 1940-41 and shows Blues (and later Pittsburgh Pirates) manager Bill Meyer along with Blues business manager Roy Hamey who became General Manager of the Yankees in 1960. Front has four virtual pinpoint tan dots, barely seen, and over 99% of the cello is glossy and Mint. Scarce. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
