This is the first licensed publication. 9x12" complete with all 16 pages with contents in matching colors to cover of bw/green. By Bibo and Lang ©1930. This is a second to fourth printing and has the Wynn Smith Mickey Mouse daily strips on page 8 and back cover, the words "Printed In U.S.A." on the front cover and age of Bobette Bibo is specified on the title page. Most copies are found with pages 9-10 removed but this is a complete copy with these pages intact. Featured on page 9 are "Mickey Mouse Pawns" cut-outs to be used with "Mickey Mouse Journey" gameboard that appears on page 7. The rest of the book features a Mickey Mouse story of how Mickey met Walt and got his name, song titled "Mickey Mouse You Cute Little Feller," nice illustrations throughout including two which are full page. The first four story pages have scattered traces of small brown spotting as well as some smudges along spine. All contents have lightly aged but o/w remain clean. Front cover has penciled name at top right. Moderate scattered cover wear/aging with some minor handling creases, surface paper rubs along spine edge. Top left corner has .5" split at spine with .5" moisture stain. Cover still retains a bright appearance, all color is strong. Still a solid VG/Fine copy. Listed in the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide at $1,050 in Good, $5,000 in Fine. Consignor has set a conservative opening.
