Item Description
20x30" poster featuring art by J.E. Sheridan of basket of fresh produce w/silhouette of calvary soldiers in bkg. w/American flag. "Food Is Ammunition - Don't Waste It" Homefront conservation slogan. Printed by Heywood Strasser & Voigt Litho Co. of New York for the United States Food Administration in 1918. Poster has some scattered edge wear w/some tiny chips, including tiny corner off lower right corner. Repairs w/color touch-ups to scattered 1" to 2" margins tears. 4.25" vertical tear at top center has also been repaired. Pair of thin diagonal creases across center as printed. Fine.
