19x28" poster featuring art by Sascha Maurer showing close-up of gas mask-wearing soldier w/raised rifle, surrounded by green gas. Top of poster features bold "Designed For Living" text w/"Take Care Of Your Gas Mask - Don't Use It As A Knapsack Or Pillow" text at bottom. Army Conservation Project poster No. 71-C-3, published by US Government Printing Office #0-581718, 1944. Poster was originally folded into quarters and had pin holes at corners.Some minor color touch-ups along fold line, displays VF/Exc. as linen-mounted.
