Item Description
5.75" tall (8.75" tall to top of upright handle) tin litho. One of the early sand pails by Ohio Art, 1930s. Sides feature great beach scene of Mickey Mouse, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow running towards wave w/swimsuits on, Mickey w/inflatable tube about his waist. "Mickey Mouse" name along base. Pail shows obvious wear w/heavy interior oxidation that has stabilized. Pail exterior shows scattered aging/wear w/more moderate oxidation along seam and to bottom. Pail also has a few scattered bends. Good/VG overall. Rare and the only the second we've offered in our 50 years. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
