Item Description
7x14" cardboard placard w/embossed border advertises French "Liqueur Hygienique" w/image of bottle at left and unusual image of a female clammer, a basket full of clams on her arm and clamming clogs on her feet, holding up a glass of the liquor, alluding to the liquor's germ-killing properties when consumed alongside seafood like clams. Printed by A. Viviani & Co. of Paris, c. 1900. Margins show wear w/some small surface loss at upper right. Fine.
