Item Description
4x6" stiff menu card for honorary luncheon for "The Astronauts" held at The Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City on March 1, 1962. Upper left has been signed in black felt tip pen by John Glenn (1921-2016), who adds "Best Regards" inscription and in blue ink by fellow astronaut Alan Shepard (1923-1998). Card was also signed in blue ink by then Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson. LBJ's signature (and part of Shepard's) has faint moisture stain measuring .5x.75" but does not obscure signature. Card has some handling wear/dust soiling and is Fine overall. Signatures display VF to Exc. Rare signed piece from very exclusive event. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
