Item Description
14x13x3.5" deep box contains painted pressed steel engine and tin litho cars 1930s. Box with blue printed text has one split corner, overall aging, a few minor water spots on sides. Box bottom comes complete with all dividers. VG. Set includes 9" long pressed steel electric operated engine with headlight marked "Commodore Vanderbilt." Set also includes six tin litho cars. First is coal car marked "New York Central," followed by pair of cars marked "Pullman Bogota 245," additional pair marked "Pullman Montclair 245," and lastly "Pullman Observation 201" car which also comes with die-cut brass finish railing around the rear observation deck. Engine has a few paint nicks and scratches. Overall glossy and bright. Cars also have few pinpoint nicks, scratches. Overall set is VF. Set also comes with issued transformer with Marx logo and 8 sections of curved track and 4 sections of straight track. Train was not tested so unsure if working.
