Item Description
30x40.5" poster features great art by Herbert Paus, depicting child beside the hand of the Statue of Liberty w/"Save Your Child From Autocracy And Poverty" text at top and "Buy War Savings Stamps" text at bottom along w/official "W.W.S. War Savings Stamp" notation at lower right. Poster was printed by The United States Printing & Lithograph Co. of New York for the US Treasury Department in 1918. Poster has been linen-mounted and has had moderate restoration at all four corners w/restoration along left 1" margin and scattered moderate restoration to left margin area. Restoration to 6.25" vertical tear just left of center at top and 3" vertical tear at bottom center. VG overall but still nice for display as linen-mounted.
