Item Description
This first issue has a classic WWII cover by Simon and Kirby and the book also has the origin of Liberty Belle and a crossover with The Sandman and The Newsboy Legion. Simon and Kirby did 48 pages of the interior art and some people believe that the team makes a cameo in the book. The book grades VG. The following defects keep the book from grading higher: the spine is stressed and has a few small chips as well as a slight roll, the staples have a small tear on each side, the cover has wear, William Leach has written his name in pencil across the top, the back cover has a dust shadow around the edges. The pages are cream.
