Item Description
2.75" tall miniature tin canteen covered in blue felt. Front felt bit faded compared to back. Logan was a founder of the Grand Army Of The Republic. Text reads "We Drank From The Same Canteen/Patented/Dec. (day and year not readable) 1861-1865." At center is albumin photo. Tiny chip off left edge, hairline down his face and dark stain on hair and below chin. Small insect hole on felt at right and reverse has 1/8" hole on felt plus four dot-sized holes. Chain holds original cork stopper. Rare and VG. From the Philip G. Straus collection.
