Item numbers 1 though 954 in auction 191
Item Description
13.5x17" stiff paper holds 12 ribbons, each glued to the paper. On 9, the glue is behind only the top 1" or so of fabric. On 3, glue is over about 50% of reverse. All display extremely clean. All but two for Harrison and one for Alger include the words "For President" or "Our Choice." Nine include "1888" date. Most about 5" to 7" tall. Left to right are: John J. Ingalls with accent "Kansas" ribbon; Jas. G. Blaine (one or two tassels gone); Russell A. Alger; Harrison/Morton jugate also showing Grandfather W.H. Harrison - exceptionally large 11" tall; Chauncey M. Depew; Blaine blue fabric mounted on red; Harrison large 8.5" tall; John Sherman; "Iowa/Wm. B. Allison"; Gresham; "Alger Club, Michigan"; Harrison gold/blue with sequined star accent mounted on another red ribbon with brass bar and tassels. Mounting sheet has .75" stain line on bottom edge that would barely show if sheet was framed. All 12 ribbons are rare.
