Item numbers 1 though 954 in auction 191
Item Description
8.5" tall ribbon badge issued for rank of "Auxiliary President" (on a pair of celluloid bars) for group named "Honorable Sons Of Virginia Of Phila., Pa." The reverse has this latter text in silver on black for use at funerals of group members. Badge front is in orange and black to represent Princeton University where Wilson was elected president in 1902. Metal chains and frame with reverse clamps holds 1.25" cello button used for his 1912 campaign. Cello has three pinpoint cello indents on temple area at right but they show only slightly. Some stain on W&H backpaper but overall extremely clean item and one of the few featuring the Princeton colors. First we've seen. VF.
