3" tall w/metal frame and designed like a handheld mirror but in miniature form. Design includes raised shelf w/raised text "Laughery Club/Aug. 5th 1914/7th Annual Tournament Of The Union Printers Natl Baseball League/Cincinnati. Handle has ornate design w/flowers. Scattered lt. wear including some luster loss. Mirror is clear w/little wear. VF. Rare. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
The Union Printers International Baseball League was the longest running amateur baseball tournament ever in America. Sponsored each year by the International Typographical Union (ITU), the tournament brought together teams representing the ITU from different cities for several days of sports, camaraderie, and brotherhood. The first Union Printers National Baseball League Tournament took place in New York City in September of 1908. Teams in the Union Printers National Baseball League Tournament were composed of all-star squads representing ITU leagues in each participating city.
