Item Description
Glossy 8x10" photo shows 1973 fight between Pete Rose and Bud Harrelson (1944-2024) during the 1973 NL Championship Series. Going into Game 3, tempers were heated due to disparaging remarks having been made by New York Mets players regarding the Cincinnati Reds. While rounded the bases in the fifth inning, Rose slid hard into second base w/his elbows high, striking Harrelson and starting a physical fight between the two. Photo has been boldly signed by both in blue felt tip pen, Rose adding "#4256" hit notation. Harrelson's signature is slightly smudged. Top and upper right margin edge has faint moisture mark, which is only visible in reflected light. VF overall. Comes w/JSA COA.
