Item Description
6x9x9.5" tall box w/original styrofoam inserts contains 7.75" tall cold-cast statue of Dodgers legend Don Drysdale (1936-1993) in mid-pitch. Produced by Salvino as part of their "Sport Legends" line c. 1990. Issued in a limited edition of 2,500. Base features .75x3.25" cardstock attachment that Drysdale has hand-signed in blue felt tip pen. Signature is NM. Underside of base has foil label w/inked "0222" edition number. Box shows scattered aging/wear. Fine/VF overall. Statue is NM. Comes w/JSA LOA.
Drysdale , nicknamed "Big D," spent his entire 14-year MLB career (1956-1969) with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. Known for being a fierce competitor, Drysdale won the Cy Young Award in 1962 and was a three-time World Series champion (1959, 1963, 1965) during his playing career. Drysdale was inducted into the National Baseball HOF in 1984.
