Item Description
2-1/8" dia. RWB string attached at top. Features portraits of McKinley and Tanner, the latter being the Republican gubernatorial candidate in Illinois. Tanner defeated incumbent John Altgeld in the election. Reverse has the names of several Union officers including Gen. Franz Sigel, w/ "Private John R. Tanner" at the bottom. Moderate wear, most notably light scattered staining and edge wear, particularly on the reverse. Technically VG, but front displays above grade.
