Item Description
4.5" long. "Official" designation on hanger. Ribbon is crisp w/ only light wear. Moderate wear on designation. Overall still Exc. Nixon traveled to Hershey, Pennsylvania just days before the election in what the Lebanon Daily News termed "the Republican Party's last major address of the campaign." The hope was the Nixon's speech in front of the 8,000-person audience would help to "completely shatter the Democratic hopes for a Pennsylvania victory." This proved to be true as the Eisenhower-Nixon ticket in Pennsylvania handily defeated Stevenson and Kefauver. John Pendergrass Collection.
