Item Description
2.5x3.5". This 1961 Golden Press Baseball Set includes 33 cards which consist exclusively of Baseball Hall of Fame members. The 1961 Golden Press sets were distributed in a booklet, and were perforated, so they could be easily detached.

Robert Moses "Lefty" Grove was an American professional baseball pitcher. After having success in the minor leagues during the early 1920s, Grove became a star in Major League Baseball with the American League's Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Red Sox. Lefty Grove is considered one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history and has many career highlights including being a six time All-Star, a nine time AL ERA Leader, a two time World Series Champion in 1929 and 1930 and a two time Triple Crown winner in 1930 and 1931. Lefty Grove was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1947. The autograph on the card well placed but slightly faded. PSA has only graded one other example at this level w/one of these graded higher.
