Item Description
10x13" to 11x14". 10 pieces of music in total. Date range is 1875-1915. All from African American composers, including: Tom Lemonier, Rosamond & Weldon Johnson, James Bland, Henry Creamer, Joe Jordan, Harriso Stewart, Alex Rodgers, and others. Titles include: "Daffney Do You Love Me", "Bandana Land", "Under The Bamboo Tree", "Castle House Rag", "Dear Old Moonlight", "Carry Me To Old Virginny", "I've Got The Finest Man", "Take Your Time", "Congratulations", and "Returned". Includes some music for minstrel shows, as well as some racist caricatures of African Americans and other racial minorities. All have light to moderate wear, most notably edge wear including some small tears and creasing. Some even age toning and scattered faint spotting and/or staining on several. Overall range is VG to extremely Fine, w/most VF or better.
