30x46". Text in lower right reads "Progressive Party-38 Park Ave., New York City 16-Elmer Benson, Chairman, Clark Foreman, Treasurer." Shahn satirizes 1945 photograph of Truman playing a piano which had actress Lauren Bacall sitting on top. Professionally hinge-mounted on board. Rarely appearing in commerce this specimen is the finest we have encountered and perhaps the finest extant.
