Item Description
10" tall. Molded bust w/hallmark "Ra. Wood Burslem" hallmark on inside of base. Verso has "Washington" imprinted. Master potter Ralph Wood produced this bust for the American market between 1782 and his death in 1795. Three chips affecting Washington's ruffled cravat. Otherwise only trivial wear. Fine. An impressive likeness that is rarely offered in commerce. Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
