Item Description
16x21.5" framed w/14x19.5" opening. Features portraits of the 1884 Prohibition ticket at the bottom w/pro-temperance messaging throughout. Including: "Spread Temperance Literature Knee-Deep", "We Demand The Prohibition Of The Liquor-Traffic", and "Vote As You Pray And Pray When You Vote". Scattered creasing w/moderate handling wear. VF. Not examined outside of frame. The New York Weekly Witness was a Prohibition periodical published by John Dougall. It was established in 1871 and continued to publish after Dougall's death in 1886.
