Item Description
In 1949 Gund produced a series of 4 Disney puppets: Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto. Each came in same style box picturing the 4 character puppets on side panels plus name of that specific puppet on bottom panel. This 7” tall box is for the Minnie puppet. Missing cellophane window. Few light edge creases. Tight, Fine. Puppets are each about 11” tall with soft rubber faces and fabric bodies. Mickey has bow at neck, Pluto has die-cut pieces for ears and collar. Both have stitched name tags. Box notes “Hand Puppets With A Voice” although neither squeaker is working. Mickey’s hands have aged, head has small paint rubs. VF. Pluto has moderate all over aging and soiling plus scattered paint wear to head mostly on tongue. Body has three 1” to 2” seam splits. VG. From the Andy Levison Collection.
