Item Description
18.5x27" original thick paper concert poster for November concerts of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at the Capitol Theatre in Portchester, N.Y. The bottom featured an advertisement for a Marshall Tucker Band and Charlie Daniels show a few days later, but this show was cancelled, as noted by the large black stamp. Text design with quirky slogans about the bands at odd angles. The blacked-out line right under the band's name originally said, "Plus Surpise [sic] Guests." Earlier that year, Zappa released his biggest album, Apostrophe, which cracked Billboard's Top 10. Minimal corner tip wear and age toning upper margin. VF. Displays above grade.
