Item Description
Original 10.25x13x1.75" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains complete four-piece outfit by Funtime Playwear Inc. © NPP, Inc. c. 1950s. Costume is child size 8 and three pieces are cotton fabric in red/blue. Comes w/thin vinyl belt w/metal buckle. Shirt is complete w/all five original plastic buttons on back w/silk-screened "S" chest emblem showing lt. traces of wear w/some scattered stress lines to design. Lt. aging/soiling from storage. Still displays Fine. Original hang tag attached. Belt has two aged tape repairs and some small tears/punctures and end. Good. Crease across middle. Good. Pants have elastic waist and three belt loops. Appears unused and VF. Cape has large 11x17" silk-screened design in yellow of full body Superman image w/hands on hips, "Superman" comic book title logo above him and cityscape below and showing lt. traces of wear w/some scattered stress lines to design. Fine. Nice quality costume. Illustrated box has images of Superman, Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Box has scattered creasing/edge wear. Moderate corner tip wear w/one having small hole. VG. Scarce as boxed.
