Item Description
7.25x10.5" unused gray sheet of "Superman Inc." letterhead with nice full color image of Superman in classic pose breaking chains. c. 1940s. This sheet was located in Cleveland, Ohio with a number of items which were once owed by Edward Dobrotka who worked for DC Comics. Dobrotka was one of the early assistants to Joe Shuster and worked on inking the original artwork for Joe Shuster, John Sikela, Leo Nowak, and Wayne Boring. He was also involved with work on Superboy, Lois Lane, and All Star Comics. He is probably best known along with Don Cameron as the co-creator of the Superman villain Toyman who first appeared in Action Comics #64. Light handling wear. Exc. Harry Matetsky Collection.
