Item Description
Ribbon is 4.25" long. Campaign ephemera 4x6" to 5x7". Ribbon has moderate wear and is VF. Paper items have only light wear and are Exc. Mahoney ran for Governor as a Democrat in 1966, and ran on the American Independent Party ticket for Senate in 1968. Mahoney split the Democratic vote, handing the Senate seat to Republican Charles Mathias. An interesting third party local grouping w/ ties to the Wallace-led segregationist party.
