8.25x10.5" paperback edition w/208 pages including 16 page color section. ©1990 Crestwood. Title page has been boldly signed in black marker by Captain America co-creator Joe Simon (1913-2011). Book tells the story of Simon, a comic book writer, artist, editor and publisher who created or co-created many important characters in the 1930s-1940s Golden Age of comic books. Simon also served as the first editor of Timely Comics, the company that would evolve into Marvel Comics. Lt. aging/wear. Exc. Gary and Dawn Guzzo Collection.
